When ordering boats, please specify the average crew weight required in kilogrammes.
1st = 6.35kg, 1lb =0.454kg, with 14lbs to a stone.

Boat weights

  • Elite are built to FISA minimum -2% to +5% for singles, and -2% to +3% for bigger boats.
  • Club A are approximately 5% to 25% over FISA minimum.
  • Club B are approximately 5% to 30% over FISA minimum.

Reasons for the variations in weight within any one grade of boat;

  • Sweep rigged boats tend to be less over FISA minimum weight than scull rigged boats.
  • Bigger boat classes (8s and 4s) tend to be less over FISA minimum weight than smaller boat classes (1x and 2x/-).
  • Boats for lightweights tend to be lighter than boats for heavy crews.
